These terms are the agreement between you and Marcio Motta, an individual, who is responsible for Habblaud World. By creating an account and checking the acceptance box, you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t create an account: Habblaud keeps working without one.
What Habblaud World is
Habblaud World is an open pixel-art world. Everyone who connects Habblaud to the world gets a building in a shared city. The building grows with the number of open projects (one floor per project) and lights up as the agents work. You walk the streets, go into other people’s buildings, give likes and greet other players with ready-made phrases.
The World is optional. Without an account, Habblaud stays 100% local and nothing changes. Right now, the World costs nothing.
What leaves your computer, what never leaves and what others see is in the Privacy Policy.
Beta, waitlist and availability
- The World is in beta. It may have bugs, go offline, change or lose features.
- We don’t guarantee availability: not hours, not uptime, not that a feature will keep existing.
- Access is through a waitlist, opened bit by bit, in batches, as the server can handle it. There’s no position and no estimate. An invite code puts you in the next batch, without going over its limit.
- If the account doesn’t join the world within 30 days of the “it’s your turn” email, the spot goes back to the queue and the account moves to the end of the list.
- The World may be shut down. If that happens, we will let you know by email.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older.
- One account per person. Your account is personal.
- You sign up with an email and a password. The account only joins the world after you confirm your email with a 6-digit code.
- The password must be at least 12 characters long and can’t be on lists of leaked passwords. Don’t share it.
- An account can have up to 3 devices. Only one publishes the building at a time: the last one that connected.
- Look after your computer. Any program on it that can reach your local Habblaud can act on behalf of your account in the world.
- You are responsible for what is done with your account.
Your character and your name
- Your player name is 3 to 20 characters long and unique in the world. You can change it once every 30 days.
- A filter blocks offensive names, names of famous people and reserved names. Using your real name is your choice.
- Your intro phrase and traits are picked from lists. Your name is the only free text in the World.
- Your country comes from your IP and can’t be chosen. You can hide it.
Conduct
The World is only good if it’s kind. You may not:
- use an offensive name;
- pretend to be someone else or the Habblaud team;
- harass or stalk anyone, including by sending greetings nonstop;
- use bots or automation to create accounts, send greetings or keep your building lit;
- get around limits, blocks, suspensions or bans, for example with another account;
- attack or overload the server;
- send fake data to the world (see Real data).
There’s no chat. Greetings are only phrases from the list (“👋 Hi!”, “👍 Nice building!”, “☕ Coffee?”…). There’s no text field anywhere.
Real data
“The World only works if the buildings are real. Sending made-up data breaks the terms and gets the account banned.”
- Habblaud is open source, under the MIT license, and can be modified. Changing themes, fixing bugs, building features and compiling your own copy is free to do and is never punished.
- But what your Habblaud sends to the World has to reflect the real office on that machine. Sending data that doesn’t reflect the real office — floors, agents, statuses, tokens or characters that are made up or inflated — violates these terms.
- This also applies when the code is modified by an AI assistant at your request.
- The server checks the plausibility of every packet and logs anything that looks odd for review. Impossible packets are dropped right away, with the reason shown in “See what was sent”.
Consequences
| Situation | What happens |
|---|---|
| Something looks odd | The account goes into a review queue and is left out of leaderboards and highlights in the meantime. |
| It looks fake | The building gets an “unverified” badge for visitors and is left out of everything that compares buildings. You get an email explaining why and how to contest it. A person reviews it within 48 h. |
| Made-up data, confirmed by the team (1st time) | 7-day suspension: the building goes dark and the account can’t connect. You get an email. |
| 2nd time, or a blatant case (dozens of made-up agents, a bot) | Ban: the building is removed, the lot is freed up and the email can’t be used for a new sign-up. |
Appeals
Disagree? Write to [email protected]. A person reviews the stored packet. If it was a mistake, the score is reset and the flag is removed.
Moderation
- Report: from any player’s profile, with fixed reasons: offensive name, pretending to be someone else, stalking, greeting spam, building looks fake, or other.
- Block: works both ways and right away. Neither of you sees the other, enters the other’s building, opens the other’s profile or greets the other.
- Team decisions: a warning by email, a forced name change (your name becomes “???” until you choose another), suspension or ban.
- Audit: every team action is logged, with who did it, what and when.
- Disagree with a decision? Write to [email protected].
Likes, tokens and leaderboard
- Like: one per account on each building, and you can undo it. Likes aren’t currency and there’s no negative reaction. If a building is removed, its likes go away.
- Tokens: token usage shows up in bands (e.g. ≈ 12 M per week), never the cost. You can turn it off in Settings.
- Leaderboard: only people who want to join are in it; it’s off by default. It’s weekly, shows the top 20 in bands, with no exact numbers, and closes “as of yesterday”. New accounts stay out for 7 days. The main leaderboard is about deliveries; tokens are a column.
- No advantage: there’s no automatic ranking by height, agents or tokens, and every highlight goes through a person.
Tokens measure activity, not productivity.
Idle buildings
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
| 2 minutes with no signal (computer off, Habblaud stopped) | The building goes dark. |
| 7 days with no signal | The building disappears from the map and the lot becomes a garden. If the signal comes back, it returns to the same lot, if the lot is still free. |
| 30 days after that | The building is removed. Coming back later means a new building, a new lot and likes reset to zero. |
| Paused by you | Stays dark for 30 days, then disappears from the map and, 30 days later, is removed. |
An email warns you 3 days before an idle building is removed. You can turn this warning off in Settings. Your account is not deleted because of this.
Pause, leave and delete
All of this is in Settings › Habblaud World, in your Habblaud.
- Pause: sending stops right away and the building goes dark. Unpausing brings the building back.
- Leave the world: the building leaves right away and the lot is freed up. Your account and character stay, and you can come back later, with a new lot.
- Delete account: after you confirm by email, the building and the profile disappear right away. Everything else is deleted from the database within 7 days and from backups within 30.
- Download your data: before deleting, you can download everything in a JSON file.
Suspension and ban
The team may warn, suspend or ban accounts that break these terms, depending on how serious it is. With a ban, the building is removed, the lot is freed up and the account can no longer get in. You always get an email and can appeal.
Ownership and licenses
- Habblaud, the program on your computer, is open source, under the MIT license.
- The World server is private. Using the World gives you no rights over it beyond the use set out in these terms.
- Your player name and your character’s choices are shown to other players for as long as your account exists.
- Any cosmetics that come to exist (facades, signs, accessories…) will be a license to use them inside the World, not your property. They will never give a visibility advantage.
Not affiliated with Anthropic or OpenAI
Habblaud and Habblaud World are independent projects, not affiliated with Anthropic, OpenAI or Habbo. Claude and Claude Code are trademarks of Anthropic; Codex is a trademark of OpenAI. Your World account has nothing to do with your Claude or Codex accounts.
Warranties and liability
- The World is provided as is, in beta and for free, with no guarantee that it will work without errors or interruptions.
- We are not liable for losses that come from the World going offline, changing or ending, including your lot, likes, leaderboard spot or character.
- These limits apply as far as the law allows. Nothing in these terms takes away rights the law gives you as a consumer.
Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. The chosen venue is the courts of Belo Horizonte/MG, except where the law gives you the right to go to court where you live, as in the case of consumers. If you live outside Brazil, you keep the mandatory protections your country’s law gives you.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change in a meaningful way, we publish a new version on this page and Habblaud asks you to accept it again at your next login. If you don’t agree, you can leave the world or delete your account. The version and the date are in the footer.
